Need a Wardrobe Detox? Special half-price offer until the end of June

With the promise of summer (I’m being positive and it’s not easy after this weekend’s weather) I feel I have got to get to grips with my new season wardrobe and be ready to embrace the sun when it does eventually shine!

I love clothes and as such hate throwing anything way, but a heaving and cluttered wardrobe is not conducive to a busy lifestyle and can make getting dressed every morning a stressful experience, putting a real damper on your day.

I’m sure many of us are guilty of having held onto items that are well passed their sell-by date and lurking in the wardrobe have collections of clothes representing different eras from our life. Perhaps ‘pre-kid’ clothes, maternity clothes, post-baby super baggy clothes and then busy-mum clothes. It is a way of hanging onto a past and sometimes it’s hard to admit we are not that person any more.

However, just because times change it doesn’t mean that you can’t have fun and enjoy your clothes like before. But it does mean that multiple pairs of heels, throw-back fashion items and hundreds of pairs of jeans all with varying styles and waistbands probably need to go!

You’re ready for a wardrobe detox when:

1) You’ve muttered/cried/shrieked ‘I have nothing to wear’ at least once this week.
2) You can’t remember the last time you could properly shut your closet doors.
3) You’ve picked up and put on your favourite t-shirt and jeans combo again… from the dirty laundry… for the second time this week.
4) You’re glad that the 90s are back in fashion – hoarding all those threads has finally paid off!
5) You’re stuck in a rut and want to feel fashionable/confident/stylish/like you again.

A wardrobe detox can help in three ways.

1) By working through your wardrobe and deciding what and what not to keep, you’ll start noticing patterns.
Are all your tops in a particular colour washed-out because you wear them so often? Are all of your favourite jeans high-waisted? These patterns can teach you a lot about your personal style and help you distinguish key players from ephemeral favorites.

2) Build a better wardrobe
Once you’ve finished your detox, your wardrobe will undoubtedly look a lot emptier than it did before, and that’s a good thing! It’ll make your wardrobe more functional and versatile as it’ll be much easier to figure out which pieces you really need (vs. want), and to fill in the missing gaps. It’s also the best canvas on which to start incorporating fresh new inspiration.

3. Improve your shopping habits
Are you an impulse shopper? Do you make decisions you end up regretting later? A wardrobe detox can help you improve your shopping habits in 3 ways. By learning from those past mistakes that have just sat at the back of your wardrobe with the tag on. By comparing pieces you love and wear regularly with those you are getting rid of, and finally, that feeling of a fresh start is sometimes all you need to break bad habits once and for all.

TO CELEBRATE THE LAUNCH OF MY NEW WEBSITE I WILL BE OFFERING MY WARDROBE DETOX (WORTH £120) FOR HALF PRICE (£60) FOR ANYONE WHO BOOKS BETWEEN NOW AND THE END OF JUNE.
